~bang that funky beat~

WWW
« on: May 26, 2004, 05:49:01 PM »

I don't know how I feel about this one, but apparently heading a soccer ball causes brain damage.  Now some in the medical profession are urging that FIFA ban heading.  I can't imagine football (soccer) without a diving header scoring a winning goal.  If this theory is true, I guess my years of soccer as a kid explain a lot about me now  Tongue

Here is the article:
Heading causes brain damage

The 'funny' part about the article is that it talks about heading a goal post being like heading concrete.  I don't know about you, but I don't know many soccer players that try to head the goal post?

Ouch! 2 goals in extra time. Tough way to lose. Looks like England will have to wait another 2 years for glory.
