Yet again Justin Harris returns to Disport Records with ‘Ride’ on DR005. As we say thank you to Ben Dean and Marc Jay for the Funk fuelled ‘Telly Box’ offering on DR004, like a Phoenix out of the flames Justin comes back and spreads himself over 3 mixes of gorgeous sunshine Tech House…..and if that’s not enough to quench your Electronic thirst Timo Garcia of Berwick Street Records has stepped in and given us his take on things!…..this E.P is not to be missed.

DJ Reactions

Kink (Ovum, Get Physical, freerange, dotbleep) – Lovin the Dub Mix., Thanks a lot for sending.

Andy Riley (Inland Knights) – Loving the Original version…..will be supporting for sure

Bubba (Extended Play, Anabatic, Aciitone) – Love the Timo Garcia Mix, def play that out and the Mardigras dub doin’ it for me as well – For my Deep House vibe stuff.

Rob Small. (BreakoutAudio, BEEF, Soulman) – Another Cool package from Disport. Steering clear of the trends & focusing on quality. Feeling the original on this one. Sounds great, Nice work, Will play.

Dave Barker (Classic, Cynosure, Seasons) – Justin is really on point with this summery, hypnotic latin Groove. If I had to pick a favourite Id say the main mix but all mixes are strong.

Murray Richardson (Rebel Waltz, Baker Street, Nordic) – Original Mix of ‘Ride’is the one Im onto. Perfect for my Brazilian tour

Demarkus Lewis (Conya, loveslap, Artizan) – Love what Justin has done here. The guy will never lose steam. Well done Justin.

OUT NOW!

Ben Dean - Telly Box - Original Telly Box - Justin Harris Mix Telly Box - Marc Jay Mix Ben Dean - The Single Malt Stagger - Original

https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/258856/Telly%20Box

http://soundcloud.com/disport-records/tracks

Disport Records’ fourth release comes from Ben Dean (Baker Street Recordings, Tenor Recordings, 3am Recordings) and takes to the stage with a Funk fuelled slice of Deep House. As we say thank you to Marc Jay, Ohsha Kai, Funky Transport & Brooks for ‘Placebo’ on DR003 Ben introduces himself to Disport Records with more Funk than a Slap Bass wearing Flares. This record bumps into futuristic Synths, vocal stabs and a Bass line that flits between Acid and Dirty Funk.

Remix number one sees the welcome return of Justin Harris after claiming the debut release for Disport Records with ‘Paris Nights’. This Track skips around an immaculate punch and its spacious groove keeps you locked in before the hypnotic lead comes to the forefront, add an electronic Bass line and you have a text book Justin ‘Freaks’ Harris dance floor shaker.

Marc Jay takes on the second remix and takes us on a stripped down Minimalistic tour of some place Deep, Dark and Dirty. Atmosphere aplenty and a Tribal groove ensure to keep the after party moving as all of the above comes together in a Twisted, Stomping piece of Tech House.

Ben Comes back for an encore and closes the package with ‘The Single Malt Stagger’. A more Down tempo laid back piece of House. Again Ben brings the Funk with an elastic groove and retro lead Synth. Quiryk, Jerking House with a smile.

DJ Reactions.

THE best party in London finally comes to L.A to give to you quality music, at quality events, at quality venues, for quality people, with quality lifestyles.

The grand opening on this new monthly after hours will be a special coming together of iconic Los Angeles resident DJs!

Of course, head honcho Mr.C from The Shamen, The End, Plink Plonk, Poker Flat, Wagon Repair etc etc, who recently moved to L.A, will be host & resident DJ. He will be joined by Andrei Osyka from the wonderful Droog posse & Culprit Records here in L.A & Biiba Scuba from Logistic NYC / L.A.
This promises to be 1 hell of a crazy opening party.
Of course liquor will be available from 6am onwards & we hope to continue well into the late morning, or for as long as you L.A cats can handle it! In London, it's very easy to start raving at 2am & still be out the following afternoon. Hopefully we can help to create some of those same magical after hours moments right here in L.A

That said, Superfreq's presence in Los Angeles is for exotic night owls seeking a sophisticated and amusing experience, so dress up, bring wigs, masks, toys, hats & of course your fantabulously gorgeous self & lets see if those magical moments can be ours, right here, right now!

Superfreq events, now in their 8th year, ran monthly at Mr.C’s club, The End until it closed down in January 2009, and currently has monthly residencies at Paramount Club in London, a weekly at Blu in Ibiza, a bi-monthly at Junk Club in Southampton and in Calais, North France.

Superfreq is also about to start it's quarterly Residency at SpyBar, Chicago in July & with Blk/Market in NYC in the fall.

and...

Superfreq has accomplished 6 successful seasons in Ibiza, 3 at Club Underground, 2 seasons at DC10 and last season at Blu & has completed 5 annual tours of South America as well as doing regular events with Made Events in NYC and at WMC Miami and regular events at Avaland in L.A. Superfreq has also done 1 off shows the world over including U.S.A, Canada, Mexico, China, England, Spain, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Lithuania, France, Croatia, Greece, Latvia and Russia to name but a few places.

Los Angeles we look forward to entertaining you soon, come with your great energy & join in the fun... xo

Great way to wrap up the summer. I'm loving this mix. Glad I checked out the boards because my playlist was getting a little stale.
