Giant NYE - The Aftermath
« on: January 01, 2004, 04:03:14 AM »
Turned out to be a pretty fun evening.  Although, I was turned away from Oakenfold after waiting over an hour to get into the room he was spinning in.  Fire marshal declared the room at capacity and turned everyone else away, which pissed a lot of people off.  I think we were all angry, but what the hell can we do?  I don't think the bonaventure is going to want to host another party either cuz that place was in shambles when I left at 5am.  Acoustics in the dance rooms were okay, not as good as I had thought they would be.  Poorly organized in terms of logistics.  All the dance rooms were at capacity at midnight even though half the occupancy was still in line outside, the will call line was ridiculous and took way too long, although I'm not a huge fan of security, the lack of it was stunning especially in this day and age.  Had a great time overall though.  Sandra Collins was off the hook for the time that I got to see her, but I wish they could've accounted for the fact that the entire building would want to go see Oakenfold.  Music was so so in the 3rd floor room (Catalina), but some good mixes were out there.  Danced my ass off nonetheless.  Then again, a good atmosphere, great friends, and good candy always make up a good time.  =)  Hope everyone got home safe and y'all had a great new year!

I had a good time.  Didn't get to see Oakenfold and he was the only DJ I knew.  I didn't any of the other d3 people either.  My friend and I left around 3 because he drank a little too much and was feeling sick.

I think I'm just about recovered.  Wow, what a night.

Men are like.....Lava lamps.
Fun to look at, but not all that bright.

Beauty is unbearable, drives us to despair, offering us for a minute the glimpse of an eternity that we should like to stretch out over the whole of time...
